Accessibility Statement

1. Accessibility Commitment

Abigail Reckard Design believes effective design should be accessible and usable by people of all abilities, and is committed to improving this website's accessibility.

2. Accessibility Goals

We aim to follow recognized accessibility practices, including relevant WCAG 2.2 Level AA guidance. Our goals include:

  • Readable text
  • Appropriate color contrast
  • Keyboard-accessible navigation
  • Meaningful alternative text for relevant images
  • Clear page headings
  • Accessible contact forms
  • Responsive layouts
  • Visible keyboard focus indicators
  • Appropriate labeling of interactive elements
  • Respecting reduced-motion preferences for moving content

3. Ongoing Improvements

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. The website is reviewed and improved over time. No formal third-party accessibility audit has been completed, and we do not claim full WCAG conformance.

4. Known Limitations

Some portfolio images contain detailed artwork and small text that may not be fully described by their alternative text. The contact form opens your device's email app, which may not work on devices without one configured — you can always email us directly instead.

5. Feedback and Assistance

If you encounter a barrier or need assistance, please email abigailreckard@gmail.com. We will make reasonable efforts to review reported issues and provide assistance where feasible.
